Star Wars Logo Intro
Video
Marvel is known for their iconic logo intros in their films. But how did they create it? In this project, I researched the various techniques involved in creating such a video. See my process steps below to learn more.

This Star Wars logo intro is created with the prequels in mind using film stills from the first three films. The ominous red color used, similar to the marvel red color, is synonymous with Darth Maul. The background music is "Mars, Bringer of War" by Gustav Holst, certainly an inspiration or close coincidence of John William's famous "The Imperial March." Overall, this video brings the Star Wars prequels to life in a new and exciting vision.

Steps
Content
First, I compiled 22 screenshots from the prequel films that I felt best embodied Anakin's journey to the Dark Side or highlighted the visual world of Star Wars. I repeated the images in order with each cycle becoming faster throughout the video. I added fast blur effects in between each image and ensured that the transitions were fluid without any solid border frames.
Logo
Then, I found a font that closely resembled the Star Wars logo font. After typing it into the video, I added motion, position, and scale effects to emphasize the logo similar to the Marvel intro.
Effects
Finally, track matte key effects were added between the logo text layers and the image layers to get the same effect as the Marvel intro. It was a delicate balance of transitioning between images inside and outside the text and various opacities and layer effects within those layers.
