Rivendell Coat of Arms (Lord of the Rings)

Rivendell is a valley in Lord of the Rings, which is home to elves. There is no official coat of arms for Rivendell. The design I created takes inspiration from various elements like Elrond's emblem and crown. The broken Narsil sword, housed at Rivendell, is in the center with a heraldic elvish helmet atop the shield. The quote is taken from the book as a description of the valley.

Princess Diana, the people's princess, the lovely philantropist and former wife to Prince Charles is honored in this nonlegal tender coin. I illustrated her portrait in the style of traditional effigies found in coinage.

This concept illustration includes Esteban de Dorantes, a Spanish conquistador and Native Americans venturing into America. Esteban de Dorantes, also known as Estevanico, was the first person of African descent to explore America. He was the only one in his expedition capable of communicating with several Native Americans.
