King Charles III Coin
The King Charles III Royal Coronation Coin (nonlegal) design radiates regal splendor. I illustrated the portrait of King Charles III to emulate a traditional royal effigy, all before the Royal Mint officially released one to the public. The result is an impressive product that people can purchase as a collectible non-monetary item.
Final Illustration
The challenge was simple, the subject was anything but - create a minted effect on profile image of King Charles III in the style of traditional numismatic design. With no existing official coins of King Charles III to reference at the time of development, this design may possibly feature one of the first profiles of His Majesty in the world on coinage.
Side-by-Side Comparison
In this side-by-side comparison between His Majesty's first official effigy featured on coinage and my original illustration similarities may certainly be seen. However, my portrait may feature a less stylized depiction of His Majesty and a more modern visage of him (subtly seen in his hair style, forehead and positioning of wrinkles on his face and neck.
